いけばな発祥の地としても有名な「六角堂」

華道家元池坊が代々住職を務められているそうです。
正式名は「紫雲山頂法寺」

本堂が六角の形をしていることから「六角堂」と呼ばれていて、聖徳太子ゆかりのお寺でもあります。
裏の池には街中では珍しく白鳥が泳いでいてとても癒されます。

Rokkaku-do Temple, located about a 20-minute walk from Tasseliin, is a famous temple in the heart of Kyoto known as the birthplace of ikebana.
Its formal name is Shionzan Chōhōji Temple.
It is called Rokkaku-do because its main hall is hexagonal in shape.
It is also a temple associated with Prince Shōtoku.
In the pond behind the temple, you can even see swans, a rare sight in the city center.
