伏見 十石舟
昔の伏見、舟運が盛んだったころの伏見を知ることができます。
月桂冠大倉記念館裏の河川沿いの船着き場から出発し、伏見港公園の中を通って、宇治川派流のすぐ近くまで行きます。
三栖閘門で一度下船、そして資料館の見学、宇治川河川の景色を眺めて再度舟に乗り、弁天橋へ戻ります。
途中に琵琶湖疎水や高瀬川の合流点もあり、タッセルホテル近隣の岡崎からの川の流れも感じることができます。
十石舟は江戸時代に伏見からの酒や米などの搬出や旅客を大坂と行き来きするために、宇治川派流と宇治川・淀川の間の輸送船として始まりました。
緩やかな川の流れと景色をながめつつ進む舟はこれからの紅葉の季節もまた違った味わいがあります。
近隣の風情ある酒蔵巡りもできますので、タッセルホテルにご滞在の際のお出かけにお勧めです。
伏見 十石舟船着き場までは京阪電車「三条駅」から「中書島」で下車、徒歩5分ほどです。
Fushimi Jukkoku Boat
Experience old Fushimi during its heyday of river transport.
Departing from the riverside landing behind the Gekkeikan Ōkura Memorial Museum, the boat travels through Fushimi Port Park to the immediate vicinity of the Uji River branch.
Passengers disembark once at the Misugi Lock Gate for a museum tour and views of the Uji River landscape before reboarding and returning to Benten Bridge.
Along the way, you'll pass the confluence of the Lake Biwa Canal and the Takase River, allowing you to sense the flow of the river connecting the Tassel Hotel neighborhood to Fushimi.
The Jukoku Boat originated in the Edo period as a transport vessel between the Uji River branch and the Uji/Yodo Rivers, carrying sake, rice, and passengers between Fushimi and Osaka.
The boat glides along the gentle river current while taking in the scenery, offering a different charm during the upcoming autumn foliage season.
You can also tour the nearby charming sake breweries, making this a recommended outing during your stay at Tassel Hotel.
To reach the Fushimi Jukoku Boat Landing, take the Keihan Railway to “Sanjo Station,” get off at “Chushojima,” and walk about 5 minutes.
